1st International Summit on Smart-Digital-Green Innovation (SDG) (November 27, 2023)

The 1st International Summit on Smart-Digital-Green (SDG) Innovation held on November 27, 2023, was a resounding success. The launch event was co-organized by the founding members of the Quebec SDG Innovation network, the international strategic community of GET Industrie, and Grand Enov+. Moreover, members from eight countries expressed their interest in participating in the summit. The 150 attendees came from diverse backgrounds, contributing to enriching discussions and strengthening the international scope of the event. These participants represented the 8 countries that signed the letter of intention to join the SDG International community, namely Canada, France, Morocco, Tunisia, Vietnam, Togo, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates.

This initiative aims to build a global coalition involving academic and industrial entities collaborating to create intelligent and environmentally friendly systems that meet society's needs and ambitions. This network strives to address the challenges of Industry X.0 while prioritizing environmental and societal concerns, to foster a smarter, advanced, and interconnected society in the socio-economic domain.

Here's a video of Mr. Rémi Quirion as part of his contribution to the summit.

The program of the summit was very rich in terms of presentations, an international panel discussion, and workshops, all of which were well received. The international panel discussion addressed various engaging topics, opening up numerous avenues for collaboration among participating countries and institutions. A plurality of perspectives was offered, encouraging international exchange and cooperation.

The next step involves creating a shared website for SDG International. This website will allow posting all scheduled events in each signing country, as well as calls for research, training, and student mobility for those interested in working on projects related to smart digital and green initiatives. This will facilitate better communication and increased coordination among SDG International community members.
